April 29: Police responded to a report of shoplifting and trespassing at Family Dollar. Upon arrival the suspect was still on the scene and had stolen 13 pieces of candy at a total value of $13. Suspect was arrested for shoplifting and transported to the the Lee County Jail.
April 29: Officers made a traffic stop on Ripley Road at the Chevron gas station. During the stop officers found marijuana in the vehicle. Driver was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle.
April 29: Officers were dispatched to Git-N-Go over a reported theft of fishing poles off a boat. Officers made contact with a witness who stated that as she pulled up she saw a white male grab two poles off the boat and put them in the back of a silver Buick and then drove off. An employee of Git-N-Go stated they had witnessed the subject come into the store after walking around several cars outside and he asked for a slim jim to unlock car doors. The employee also saw the man grab the poles and jump the trailer and put them into the trunk of the silver car. Complainant stated he had four poles strapped to the front of his boat, all the same brand and model. After the employee asked him how many poles he had, he noticed two of them were gone. Witnesses stated the driver of the silver car never got out of the car. The poles were valued at a total of around $350.

May 28: Lee County Deputies were dispatched to a business on CR 811 in Saltillo for a female employee in a verbal altercation with her husband. The husband, identified as Clint Whaley, was in the parking lot of the business. After further investigation, Deputies found a felony amount of Methamphetamine on him. Whaley was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine. Arrested: Clint B. Whaley, 31, of Mantachie. Charge: Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine. A Justice Court Judge set the bond at $1,500 for the possession of Methamphetamine.
May 29: Lee County Deputies were dispatched to a call on CR 821 in Saltillo for a verbal altercation that involved a male with a weapon and was threating harm to others. Lee County 911 then advised that the male was shooting and threating people on scene and that he was going to shoot law enforcement when they arrived. Deputies arrived on scene and made contact with a male, later identified as Adam Ray. After being searched, Ray was found to be in possession of a felony amount of Methamphetamine. Arrested: Adam Ray, 41, of Saltillo. Charges x 3: (1)Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine. A Justice Court Judge set the bond at $1,500 for the possession of Methamphetamine; (2) Failure to comply; (3) Domestic violence
