Two separate traffic stops have resulted in felony drug charges by the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department. A Baldwyn man is among the two charged.
Sheriff Randy Tolar said Deputy Tyler Reese arrested William Brown, 38, of Baldwyn, on Friday, April 9, on charges of Conspiracy to Sell a Controlled Substance (Subutex) after Brown was stopped on a traffic stop. His bond was set at $10,000. Tolar said Brown was under house arrest and being supervised by the Mississippi Department of Corrections at the time of the stop and remains in custody at this time.

On Thursday, April 8, Prentiss County Deputy N’shaun Cameron arrested Chadward Shane Rodgers, 44, of Mooreville, at a roadside safety checkpoint. Rodgers was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine). His bond was set at $10,000. The Mississippi Department of Corrections had a hold placed on him and he was transported to Lee County.
