City gears up for next week’s County Line Music Festival


Baldwyn will be the place to be for this year’s event as it expands activities and entertainment.

Baldwyn’s 5th Annual County Line Music Festival puts the “the history of music” on the map as the premier location for music lovers Saturday, April 20th in Historic Downtown Baldwyn.  To celebrate the 5th Anniversary, the County Line Music Festival has expanded its activities and entertainment offerings to include free music and entertainment along with a music video contest, free music movies in the Claude Gentry Theatre, Songwriter Competition, Main Stage Performers/Bands and more in historic downtown Baldwyn, MS.  Enjoy Mississippi Made arts and crafts vendors, Juried Arts Competition, live music, kids’ area, and much more.

For the fifth year, Eric Nanney of Twenty Mile band and the County Line Music crew, will offer the Singer/Songwriter’s Competition. The competition will be held at 105 West Main Street on Saturday, April 20th. Entry fee of $30 will be due that day to participate. The finalists will go on to the final competition that will be judged and 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place awards given CASH prizes.  Participants should contact Paden Bell at 662-601-7119 with entry questions.  

Six Shooter Studios has a new and exciting addition to the festival a music/film video competition to be held at the Claude Gentry Theatre. The music/film video submissions will be playing throughout the day between movie breaks.  We have submissions from many local musicians along with a few international entries. The contest winner will be announced at the end of the day.  Entry into the film festival has to be done through and is actually $25.
