Report issued Wednesday lists complete financial results of system’s fiscal year ending June 30, 2017.

Baldwyn School District’s financial records and financial condition are in good order, according to a report released Wednesday by State Auditor Shad White. There were no negative findings.

The report covered the district’s fiscal year ending June 30, 2017. In the report, White said, “The Baldwyn School District is financially stable. The District is proud of its community support of the public schools. The District has committed itself to financial excellence for many years. The District’s system of financial planning, budgeting, and internal financial controls is well regarded. The District plans to continue its sound fiscal management to meet the challenges of the future. The District actively pursues grant funding to supplement the local, state, and federal revenues.”

The audit was conducted by McKenzie CPA, PLLC. Accountants with the firm noted in the report that, “In our opinion, Baldwyn School District complied, in all material respects, with the types of compliance requirements referred to above that could have a direct and material effect on each of its major federal programs for the year ended June 30, 2017.”
