Baldwyn’s Main Street now has another business to offer artistic expression to the community.
Britney Lee Photography has expanded to open a studio for photo sessions. Lee and her family held a ribbon cutting ceremony for their new studio last week.
“I am blessed that God put photography in my path to be able to start out just snapping photos of children to having a photography studio in my hometown,” Lee said.
The studio will allow Lee to create more inside portrait sessions such as holiday, winter, and newborn mini-sessions. Her studio will also include a frame store with ready-made frames and custom-made orders.
“I have so many props and different themes for photo sessions,” Lee added. “I will be able to have office space and indoor set ups for more variety of photos rather than being limited to outside or on location sessions.”
Lee began her position behind the lens after the birth of her daughter Gabee Kate, 5. Her talent and passion for creating that perfect shot developed as friends and acquaintances discovered her talent after seeing Lee’s photos of her daughter and other children.
After five years of advancing her digital photography skills, Lee now offers her business for weddings, graduating seniors, special events, families, children, newborns and more.
“I am so excited to be able to offer more of the arts in downtown Baldwyn, but I am more excited to be able to capture on camera what all that is going on in our town and the lives of those who make it a great place,” Lee said.
Lee is available by appointments only on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Her studio is located at 103 East Main Street. She will also be hosting the “Santa and Me” photos during Baldwyn’s Downtown Christmas Open House on November 14.
Lee is married to Matthew and has a second daughter Grayley Kaye, seven months. She is the daughter of Lisa and Rusty Hendrix of Baldwyn and Scotty and Lynn Christian of Mooreville.
