Baldwyn’s annual Holly Jolly Christmas parade is set for Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m., and the grand marshal for this year’s event is Baldwyn Schools superintendent Raymond Craven.
Known as Coach Craven, he has been a Bearcat for 20 years, serving as a math teacher, assistant principal, assistant softball coach, basketball coach, and assistant superintendent. He is married to Monica Craven, a teacher at BHS, and they have three children – Trey (17), Carter (14), and Caroline (13). Craven was chosen out of appreciation for his efforts and leadership in serving the community and helping shape the minds of our future leaders.
“Thank you to Baldwyn Main Street Chamber!” Craven said. “It is an honor to be chosen as the parade’s Grand Marshal, and I am immensely proud to call this community my home. I cannot express how thankful we are that you chose me to be representing all of you during this wonderful celebration. I would also like to express my heartfelt appreciation to the organizers and volunteers who have worked to put together this spectacular event. Their dedication and efforts create cherished memories for all to enjoy during the Christmas season.”
